POWDER PAWS GROUP hike program

Daily trail adventures designed for safe socialization, structured play, and enriching exercise — led by experienced and attentive pack leaders.

Offered Monday through Saturday, mornings and afternoons.

Door-to-door pickup and drop-off at your home or workplace
1–2+ hours of structured on- and off-leash hiking
Small groups (2–6 dogs) carefully matched by energy, play style, and temperament
Experienced handlers trained in canine body language and pack dynamics
Local and mountain trails in and around Steamboat Springs
All year long — rain, snow, and shine — we ensure all dogs are prepared for harsh temperature and weather conditions

To ensure the safety and harmony of every group, the following are required:

First Solo Walk to assess personality, leash skills, and social readiness
Trial Period & Minimum Requirement of 1 hike per week for the first 40 days to assimilate dog into program and familiarize them with the packs

Current Rabies and DHPP vaccinations
Bordetella vaccination within the last 6 months
Post-boarding wait period: Dogs must wait 14 days after boarding elsewhere before rejoining hikes to help prevent the spread of kennel cough
Leash manners, social skills, recall and no history of aggression
Regular group participation is strongly encouraged to support group cohesion and relationship-building among dogs
