With an unconditional love for all animals, Lexie is up for any task from dog walking to ranch sitting. She graduated with a degree in Finance and a minor in Commercial Real Estate from the College of Charleston where she spent her extra time fostering with the local shelter and leading trail rides around the historic rice plantations. Lexie is a lifelong horse girl who has worked in barns and ranches across the country exploring different disciplines from fox hunting to moving cattle. As a child, she studied the dog encyclopedia for fun (no joke). With a lifetime of knowledge of caring for horses, cats, and dogs, Lexie could not be happier to offer Powder Paws’ services to the Steamboat community.

Ally is no stranger to mountain town life as she was born and raised in Winter Park! She has owned dogs her entire life and has always loved taking care of her furry friends! After working with dog sledding group in Sweden, she realized how much better her life could be if she continued working with animals! Ally is currently studying Environmental Science at CMC and plans to use her education to preserve and protect our planet and keep us and our furry animals happy and healthy!

She’s happiest in the mountains with a dog by her side; especially her own, Rainbow Buffalo (goes by Bolo). An avid animal lover—especially when it comes to dogs—SG finds peace in alpine air, muddy trails, and wagging tails. For her, life is best lived outdoors, close to nature and four-legged friends. Coming from a big chaotic family, Sarah Grace loves big, chaotic dogs!

Julia relocated from Denver to Steamboat in 2010, intending just a weekend visit — but like many of us, she found herself rooted in the valley many years later. With a strong background in healthcare, Julia has spent years dedicated to caring for others. Since becoming a Steamboat local, she’s built a vibrant life with her husband, two children, and a lively menagerie that includes two dogs, two cats, two rabbits, an aquarium, and even an axolotl! Her deep compassion for animals and people alike shines through in all she does, making her an invaluable part of the Powder Paws family.

Meet Mary, a dedicated and enthusiastic member of Powder Paws. Mary is a fourth-generation Californian who relocated to Steamboat four years ago, trading sandy beaches for snow-capped mountains. She has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the area and thinks Powder Paws is the best job she’s ever had!
Mary’s genuine passion for animals is evident in everything she does. Her warm presence, reliability, and strong connection with both pets and their owners make her a valued part of our organization.

Leslie grew up in Ohio and moved to Colorado 7 years ago, and she has not looked back since! She is an outdoor lover, an avid rock climber, an occasional van lifer, and the kind of person who will always stop to say hi to every dog she passes. Bigger and slobbier, the better ;)

She grew up with Labrador Retrievers her whole life, including one who flunked out of service dog school…and was all the better for it. Leslie is so excited to give all the love and attention to your fur baby!

Lauren is a true Colorado native and has been in Steamboat for 17 seasons. She loves the outdoors, camping, hiking, yoga, and reading. Outside of Powder Paws, Lauren practices Reiki and holds ceremonial spaces for her clients. You would be hard-pressed to find someone more caring or empathetic than Lauren. She absolutely loves all animals, big and small. We love Lauren for the compassion and empathy she shares with all our clients and team members. She has always had animals in the house—from dogs and cats to even turtles and bunnies. Lauren has 3 cats at home now and has rescued several older cats over the years to give them space to relax in their last years of life.

The summer after graduating high school, Riley moved with her family to Steamboat and has since fallen in love! She is an outdoor lover, snow or shine. She loves spending time with animals of all kinds and enjoys building relationships with loving creatures. During the winter season, she spends her time serving on the mountain. Riley is a caring girl with endless amounts of love that she can’t wait to show your pets!

Originally from Pennsylvania, Chloe moved to Steamboat during the 2023 winter season to work at the resort, and we were so lucky to find her shortly after her arrival to town! Chloe keeps herself busy pet sitting and especially enjoys serving our South Valley clients. Chloe grew up ski racing and coaching at a small mountain in Pennsylvania. She raised show pigs in her county 4-H and served on the livestock judging team in college at Penn State. Chloe loves all animals, especially Labs. She grew up with Labs and has fond memories of taking them hunting from a young age. Chloe’s love for animals expanded into her studies as well, and she majored in animal science at Penn State.

Juliette grew up in Santa Monica, California and graduated from the University of Oregon in spring 2025. After finishing school, she was ready for an adventure and made the move to Steamboat with her best friend. She has fully embraced mountain town life and happily traded the city for the outdoors.

Juliette has always loved animals more than people, and you will often find her talking to her dog like he is human. She grew up with dogs, along with a cat, turtle, bunny, gecko, and even a snake, thanks to her tendency to rescue any animal in need. She cannot wait to give your pet a big smooch and all the love and attention they deserve!
